Winter at Libby Camps

Libby camps is located in the heart of the North Maine Woods, home to some of the most remote trail systems and backcountry snowmobiling in the eastern United States.  Libby’s groomed trails give you easy access from the Patten and Ashland. The food here is amazing.

From the south, Take the Huber road up from Matagamon, Cross the small section of lake an ya at Libbys…..Then make the loop back to Shin Pond… To Patten then back to Sherman….. its all marked well……Pick up 71d off 85n out of Shin Pond or Matagamon. 85 kinda makes the loop from Matagamon over to shin pond. 71 d head north. The Huber road and head north. You will see signs for the Ghost Trains around the Huber Road.

No phone or cell service here so plan accordingly. Cell phone may work about 2 miles from camp. Gas available at camp. Internet wifi available in the lodge. Satellite phone available for rent.

Note: There are no ATV’s, Motorcycles or Bikes allowed in the North Maine Woods
